Mathew Heinzeroth is a Neo-Traditional Japanese tattoo artist. originally from Amherst, Ohio. Mathew had grown up surrounded by art, from his grandparents to his own parents. Spending his entire life surrounded by art, he became obsessed. Taking every art class he could to the only time he had to do his homework. His books were covered in artwork.
This caused him to pursue his passion. Always wanting to tattoo from a young age he spent most of his youth admiring all tattoos. Mathew started tattooing in 2016 studying under Justen Borrero, learning to hone his newfound skill as a tattoo artist. He started the majority of his work in black markers for shading, stippling, and cross-hatching his way into the darkness. Consumed with bold shadows and intricate line work. He found his desire to create Japanese-inspired artwork from watching Ami James and Chris Garver and Meticulously studying their dragons, flowers, and other Japanese imagery. At that point, he was hooked even to the extent of venturing to parts of Asia to experience and study the culture. Mathew came back home to Florida with his own unique Neo-Traditional Japanese style.
There is much more to Mathew then meets the eye. With many underlaying skills and talents from 3d sculpting, clay sculpting and many fine art techniques.
